Attention, Attention!
We have an IRONMAN on board!
Christophe GREINER – a 42-year-old, working at Chemet GLI as Quality Manager has completed the IRONMAN World Championship in #Kona, #Hawaii.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
How does one become an #IRONMAN?
You have to run a triathlon, consisting of:
– swimming – 3.8 km,
– cycling – 180 km,
– running – 42 km.
The Ironman World Championship brings together the best long-distance triathletes in the world, both amateurs and professionals.
This year the championships were held in Kona, Hawaii, which proved to be an additional difficulty due to the temperature and the initially unfavorable wind.
When asked how he got into such shape and how he became a world-class Ironman, Christophe replied:
“Discipline and organization are absolutely paramount to prepare for such a race. It takes several months, and I train up to 20 hours each week at the peak of my preparation. Such a result is only possible by practicing sports 6 days a week. Training sessions take place several times a day in every spare moment, such as running on my lunch break at work, sometimes cycling in the morning before work and in the evenings.”
Christophe revealed to us that sports have not always accompanied him. Rather, he was a kid who liked to play video games. He only became interested in sports as an adult.
So there is an opportunity for everyone!
Take Christoph as an example!
