We would like to tell you the story of a certain fire truck.
Some time ago it appeared at our Chemet manufacturing plant WPZ.
It is a STEYR fire vehicle equipped with a very powerful fire extinguishing gun, water tank and fire extinguishing foam tank – suitable for very difficult conditions.
The State Fire Service in Tarnowskie Góry asked us for help in restoring the tank which would enable this vehicle to return to normal operation.
The vehicle is pretty old, but all the fire equipment is in excellent shape.
After the renovation process, the fire truck was planned to be handed over to the Ukrainian fire brigade as assistance from the Polish side.
And at that moment, Marina Novitska, who works at Chemet, joined this project.
She was an intermediary between the State Fire Service in Poland and the Unit of the Main Department of the State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations in the Zhytomyr Oblast, in Berdyczów, where the Polish fire truck will be operated.
The project was successful, the vehicle already arrived in Ukraine and is ready to perform firefighting tasks in its new location.
