Today we will talk about cooperation between CHEMET and Silesian University of Technology.
Our Team located at Zagórska Street sometimes arranges visits where the participants can learn something practical.
For many years Chemet has been regularly visited by students of the Faculty of Transport and Aeronautical Engineering at the Department of Railway Transport of the Silesian University of Technology.
For this occasion a workbook was created – a script for laboratory classes, in which the Silesian University of Technology was responsible for the theoretical part and Chemet was responsible for the practical part, and here particularly one of our engineers Mr. Jarosław Konowalczyk, Head of the Design at Chemet SA. This manual contains practical instructions, original exercises and authentic forms taken from the Chemet production processes, which our fitters work with on a daily basis.
This workbook is an excellent example of cooperation between the business and science which brings three-way benefits at the end of the day:
– For the University – which has a practical way of conducting exercises as a part of classes.
– For Students – who learn on a “living organism” in a real production plant.
– And for Chemet – which has the opportunity to invite another generation of young engineers to cooperate with in the future.
